EASI’s history goes all the way back to 1927, when Don Lusby started an ambulance service in Pine Bluff.  Formerly known as Lusby’s, our company has been operating full-time since 1972 and officially became Emergency Ambulance Service, Inc. (EASI) in 2001.

EASI has long been a leader in pre-hospital care:

• In 1986, we were the first ambulance service in Arkansas to be licensed at the Advanced Life Support level.
• In 1990, we became the first ambulance service in Southeast Arkansas to be licensed at the Paramedic level.
• In 1992, we became the first licensed Advanced Rescue Unit in Arkansas.
• In 2000, we became the first ambulance service in Arkansas to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS).

In 2015, EASI purchased and renovated 3 vacant properties in downtown Pine Bluff, creating our new headquarters.  All financing, construction, and new equipment was procured in Pine Bluff or Jefferson County.
